Well, a croc didn't get him: 'Crocodile Hunter' Irwin Killed by Stingray
Very sad to die so young, and leave young children. But atleast he had the opportunity to live his passion, not everyone gets that chance.

Yeah, that was a pretty vicious way to go.
I laughed and laughed at a show of his I caught one night, he was messing with some kind of very poisonous snake and kept saying "I've never seen a snake so aggressive!" I kept thinking, "well, if you'd stop slapping the motherfucker."
There was one episode, where he was in the outback and this snake bit him. The next scene was him flipping franticly through a field manaul because he couldn't remember if that particular snake was poisonous. (which it wasn't) It was pretty funny.
All that said, I liked him. He might have been a little goofy, but he really believed and practiced what he preached.
