400,000 vote lead with less than 4% uncounted Calderon Wins!

And much to his credit Lopez Obrador has backed off his statements from last night saying he will accept the outcome and helped to ease fears of civil unrest, very statesmanlike.

Yeah, but there will still be a recount. As there should be in all close elections. But people are saying this was cleanest election there, ever. Lets hope so. It's going to be tough for whoever is declared the winner. It was like a three way split, consensus will be hard to come by.

everyone with the IFE has said they have seen nothing that would cause changes in the final count.

As Calderon said "we do this a little better than our neighbors to the north."

Yeah, I read some quote that said something to the effect of "we have better institutions in place than America", and he makes a fine point.

Does he mean this time or historically? Cause if he means the latter - he needs a refresher course in his nation's history.

Well, the past 2 U.S. elections have made nearly every country feel better about their electoral process - even the ones that really have one.
